Lyrics: Whispers of the Vortex
[Intro Guitar Hook]
[Pre-Chorus – setting the scene]
A poem born in a fleeting breath,
Under Chimney Rock where the red winds rest.
Sedona skies, a fire-colored dome,
The canyon whispered, “you are home.”
[Chorus]
Whispers of the vortex, calling me inside,
Time stood still on the mountainside.
Spirits in the silence, stars burning bright,
Whispers of the vortex carried through the night.
[Verse 1]
We walked beneath Chimney Rock,
Red stone glowing in the fading sun.
Prayer flags swayed in the desert wind,
Each thread a prayer, each color one.
The stupa stood so tall and still,
A tower where the heavens meet.
I felt the hush, I felt the chill,
A sacred rhythm at my feet.
[Pre-Chorus]
And the junipers twisted, the canyon sang low,
Every step a story only the spirit knows.
[Chorus]
Whispers of the vortex, calling me inside,
Time stood still on the mountainside.
Spirits in the silence, stars burning bright,
Whispers of the vortex carried through the night.
[Verse 2]
She slipped her shoes off, climbed so free,
Barefoot grace on a rugged stone.
Daisy and I watched in awe, she turned to me,
her eyes changed to Amber Greene.
The city lights like a sea below,
A world of glass in the desert glow.
I saw her pride, I felt her fire,
Her barefoot climb pulled me higher.
[Pre-Chorus]
And the night grew darker, but the stars still shone,
Guided by the silence, we found our way home.
[Chorus]
Whispers of the vortex, calling me inside,
Time stood still on the mountainside.
Spirits in the silence, stars burning bright,
Whispers of the vortex carried through the night.
[Bridge]
We lost the trail, but we found our faith,
Phone lights glowing in the canyon’s face.
The Buddha watched with a timeless gaze,
Peace in the stillness, love in the haze.
[Final Chorus]
Whispers of the vortex, calling me inside,
Time stood still on the mountainside.
Spirits in the silence, stars burning bright,
Whispers of the vortex carried through the night.
[Outro – soft, fading]
A poem born in a fleeting breath,
Under Chimney Rock where the red winds rest.
Sedona skies, a fire-colored dome,
The canyon whispered, “you are home.”
Whispers of the vortex…
Whispers of the vortex…
Carried through the night.
