Lyrics:
The Sky Is an Ocean (feat. Emily Stellar) [Album Hotel Déjà Vu - The Dream]

Oh god

The sky is an ocean
Blue currents rollin' on
Clouds like whales are risin'
Then they're gone

When I woke from the big sleep
Eyes wide open then closed
Clarity burned brighter than the sun
The veil tore
Cast into the fire
With all my other doubts

The sky is an ocean
Blue currents rollin' on
Clouds like whales are risin'
Then they're gone

The waters met the waters
Not in separation but in reflection
Two infinities pressed together
There in that seam
Awakening rose
Not from the mind
But from the soul

The sky is an ocean
Blue currents foldin' tight
Whales dive deep between worlds
Day becomes night

Let's break it down
Give me a slow quiet jam
I'm going to speak

It was a Sunday evening
Nothing special
I stepped outside to let the dog out
Just air just quiet
Then I looked up
The Phoenix sky wasn't a sky anymore
It was water
Thin slivers of cloud stretched across it
Rippling like waves mid crash
As if the whole ceiling above me
Was in motion
I went back inside
Pulled a chair close to the glass door
And watched
That's when the shapes changed
Whales formed in the sky
Diving slowly from one world into another
Schools of fish followed
Moving without sound
Guided only by wind
I knew it wasn't real
And somehow that didn't matter

The thought came quietly
The sky is an ocean
Where the waters meet the waters
The old idea
The firmament
Not clouds holding rain
But something deeper
A boundary
A veil
A place where one reality presses
Against another

I watched the waves drift and dissolve
And I didn't try to explain it
Some moments aren't meant to be solved
They're meant to be witnessed

Every step an echo
Every silence a drumbeat
Every breath the answer
I thought I had lost

The sky is an ocean
Blue currents foldin' tight
Whales dive deep between worlds
Day becomes night

The waters met the waters
Not in separation but in reflection
Two infinities pressed together
There in that seam
Awakening rose
Not from the mind
But from the soul

And then
A dream
A nightmare
A flash
A crash
A Daisy bark
I woke

The sky is an ocean
The sky is an ocean
The sky is an ocean
The sky is an ocean
Blue currents rollin' on
Clouds like whales are risin'
Then they're gone
The sky is an ocean
The sky is an ocean
The sky is an ocean

The Hotel Déjà Vu

The Hotel Déjà Vu is a concept album that unfolds like a film you swear you’ve seen before but can’t quite place. Set inside a liminal hotel where time bends and memory loops, each track feels like stepping into a room charged with intimacy, dreams, desire, and awakening.
