Track 8: The Dream - Essence of Surrender

Her fingertips glide across my skin, And all she would feel, Are goosebumps rising to meet her. I am powerless, Against her spell.

Lyrics:
Essence of Surrender (feat. Emily Stellar) [Album Hotel Déjà Vu - The Dream]

Her fingertips glide across my skin
And all she would feel
Are goosebumps rising to meet her

I am powerless
Against her spell

She traces a quiet constellation across my chest
As if naming stars only she can see
Her lips move softly
Not in a hurry
Learning the terrain

My mountains do not rise all at once
They listen first
They respond slowly
To the patience of her mouth
To the way her breath pauses
Before choosing where to land

Her fingers rest there
Still
As if listening for a heartbeat
As if waiting to be invited by the pulse itself

I feel myself thinning
Edges dissolving
The noise of intention fades
I am no longer steering

I feel overcome
Not taken
But eased into surrender
I let her drive
Not because she asks
But because the road has already chosen her

Her hands wander south
Unannounced
Following the slope of warmth
The way water always finds its way
Lower
Then lower still

There is no urgency in her movement
It feels like a dance she already knows
One learned long before me
I fall into a hypnotic trance
Watching her follow instinct instead of direction

She finds a map without looking for one
Barefoot she stands in the grassy pasture
Feeling the ground before committing her weight
The air changes here
The light softens

She walks slowly
Each step deliberate
As if the land itself is responding beneath her
The grass gives way to sand
Warm and yielding
Until she reaches the place
Where the shoreline breathes

A sandy beach
Where edges blur
Where the ocean waits
Not demanding
Only present

She pauses there
Feels the heat
Feels the pull
And something in her shifts
Quietly
Like recognition

The waves do not crash
They arrive
They retreat
They return again
Each time a little closer
Until the meeting feels inevitable

The Hotel Déjà Vu

The Hotel Déjà Vu is a concept album that unfolds like a film you swear you’ve seen before but can’t quite place. Set inside a liminal hotel where time bends and memory loops, each track feels like stepping into a room charged with intimacy, dreams, desire, and awakening.
