Track 9: The Dream - The Inward Tide

She speaks in breath, Hot then cool, Like a storm rolling in, Before the air knows what to do with itself. I crash, Thunder breaking me open from within, Lightning strikes at the peak, Of my secret garden.

Lyrics:
The Inward Tide (feat. Emily Stellar) [Album Hotel Déjà Vu - The Dream]

And still
She waits

Not tense
Not asking
Just open in the way sleep opens doors
The waking mind guards

The dream deepens
The air grows heavy
Charged
As if the night itself is holding its breath

Something gives

She speaks in breath
Hot then cool
Like a storm rolling in
Before the air knows what to do with itself

I crash
Thunder breaking me open from within
Lightning strikes at the peak
Of my secret garden

It storms
Rain pours
Hot then cool

Yielding
To a flood
What can no longer be held back

Not suddenly
Not violently
But the way a storm finally remembers
What it came to do

The tide turns inward
Waves no longer retreat
They spill
They cross the line they had been respecting

Her body answers before thought returns
A quiet breaking
A soft undoing

Heat blooms
Then spreads
Then takes over the landscape entirely

She arches into nothing
Into no one
Into the woman made of touch and knowing
Who exists only because she allowed her to

The beach disappears
The map dissolves
There is only water now
Warm and uncontained
Moving freely where it was once held back

She exhales a sound she doesn't hear
Her body loosens its grip on itself
The dream pours through her
Like rain through open ground

And somewhere between sleep and waking
She smiles

Because even in rest
Even alone
Her body remembered how to arrive

Content I lay
I let out one final sigh

The Hotel Déjà Vu

The Hotel Déjà Vu is a concept album that unfolds like a film you swear you’ve seen before but can’t quite place. Set inside a liminal hotel where time bends and memory loops, each track feels like stepping into a room charged with intimacy, dreams, desire, and awakening.
